The final episode of The Gentlemen begins with an extremely interesting monologue from the one and only Stanley Johnston, who talks about his beliefs. Where, He argues that there’s nothing wrong with conformity as long as one is aware that they are conforming.
In simpler words, Stanley's telling us that he may appear to be a kind and harmless businessman, but in reality, he is quite the opposite. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Later, in the heat of the moment, The Gospel(from episodes 1 and 2) comes to Halstead Manor in rage, seeking revenge for his brother Tommy after discovering that it was Freddy who killed him. He then surrounds the manor with his men and demands that Freddy surrender, or there’ll be a bloodbath. The Gospel puts Freddy in a very difficult position.
Feeling guilty and selfless Freddy Realizing that surrendering is the only way to protect his family, he agrees to give himself up. However, Edward disagrees with this decision.
But then, just as the Gospel prepares to storm the manor, he receives a call from Bobby Glass. Bobby then makes an offer to Gospel; he then agrees and leaves without any bloodshed. Saving Freddy and everyone in the Halstead manor in the process.
In the next scene, Bobby calls Susie and Edward together and asks them to reconcile and become friends again, explaining that their actions were motivated by their own concern for their loved ones.
Bobby then reveals his decision to retire and to sell the business to the highest bidder. He asks Edward to assist Susie in finding and getting the best offer possible.
The duo then visits potential clients, including Stanley and many others who are interested in acquiring the weed business, telling them they must submit their bids by the end of the week.
Later, in a twisted world, Edward, who always wanted to get out of the weed business he inherited. However, after a change of heart, Edward decides to bid as well. The problem was that he didn’t have the money for it. So, he strikes a deal with the 11 Dukes and JP Ward, who has made millions smuggling drugs across Europe, to gather a few million.
Lady Sabrina also lent Edward ten million pounds by selling her assets and expensive paintings. Edward also approaches Henry Collins and offers to make all his problems go away if he gives him 15 million pounds in exchange for a fair share of the business.
In the end, Edward also convinces Susie to put in 35 million dollars and become his partner. And in the end, Edward managed to gather around 200 million dollars for his bid. And that's how he did it.
Edward is eager to take over the business, no matter what. Thus, besides putting in a bid, he also hatches a plan to make sure things go his way.
Thus, with the help of his new friend Henry Collins, Edward has Stanley arrested for tax evasion. With Stanley out of the picture, Edward moves on to deal with Mercy, Peter, and Collins. But in a huge plot twist, Bobby reveals that he lied about selling the business.
Bobby then tells Edward and Susie that he planned it all to test Edward’s leadership abilities. Convinced of Edward’s intellectual skills, Bobby accepts Edward’s 235 million offer and makes him his partner.
And at the very end of the episode Edward shoots and kills Henry Collins, along with Susie. As a sign to celebrate their new partnership.
