Diving deep into the mysteries of the new Guy Ritchie directed show, The Gentlemen, Season 1, Episode 4, An unsympathetic gentleman.

The fourth episode of the series starts off with an unexpected scene, where we are shown the final moments of the eighth Lord Bassington, who were friends of Edward's family. We then later cut to a scene where we see Freedy and Jimmy out on a fishing trip. Freddy then confides in Jimmy and tells him about his insecurities. And he also expresses that he is an asset, not a liability, to Susie and Edward and should be treated as such.


Meanwhile, Susie is searching for ways to grow her business, and she asks Edward if she could set up another cannabis farm on his property. However, Edward refuses and tells her, he will find another property for her to grow her business on.


As the episode progresses, Edward, along with his mother, attends the funeral of Lord Bassington, the eighth. Here, we are introduced to a new character, Max. Who is the son, of Lord Bassington. Edward, being aware of the situation, comes to Max, with a unique business proposition, that can help Max during his unfortunate time. Which will also help Susie in the process.


In the next scene, Edward and Max start negotiations, and Max shows genuine interest in the proposition. However, Max tells Edward that he can only accept his proposition, if he can help him with a problem he has been having recently, Max then reveals that he's being blackmailed by a mysterious man, who claims he has documents with him that could hurt his reputation and his chances of becoming a successful actor. Edward then agrees to help Max.


As the episode progresses, we witness a private conversation with Geoff and Lady Sabrina. They decide to help Edward, find a location for Susie to expand her business. Simultaneously, in the next scene, we see Jimmy and Gabriella meeting up and getting to know each other.


Later on, in the episode, Edward and Susie manage to capture Max's blackmailer, Francias, who was once a renowned journalist, whose career faced a tragic end. After getting caught, Francais, hands over Max's documents to Edward and Susie. Edward then convinces Francais to accompany him to Max's estate for the ransom amount.


In the next scene, Francais, Edward, Susie, and Max meet at Max's estate. And it was then revealed that Francis wasn’t blackmailing Max’s father, but Max himself. Under pressure, Max decides to be completely transparent. Max then leads them to an underground chamber filled with paintings of and made by Adolf Hitler. Shockingly, Max is a supporter of Hitler, even going as far as preserving Hitler’s testicle.


This is the secret. He has been desperately trying to hide this secret because it would ruin his career if it got out. When Max and Francis get into a at some point, Susie steps in and uses her strong methods to get Max to do what she wants.


As the episode comes to a close, Edward goes back to his estate, where his mother, Sabrina, tells him the good news. Sabrina was able to find a place for Susie's weed farm because their neighbor agreed to let them use his 2,000-acre property for a fair price.
