Introduction:
Remember the old tales where princesses just waited around for Prince Charming to save them? Well, forget that! because Damsel on Netflix throws that idea out the window. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Princess Elodie, gets tricked into marrying a prince. And in a plot twist, she gets sacrificed to a dragon.
However, our beloved main character is not a quitter; she decides to fight back, and, eventually, in triumph, she comes out victorious.
The Dragon's a Looker, But Not Much of a Talker
The dragon in this movie is awesome. Seriously, the special effects are on point! It's huge, scary, and could roast a knight in seconds. But here's the thing: the dragon talks and kind of lets you down. The concept is intriguing; however, the dragon's description is rather brief, which is disappointing to.
Is Damsel the perfect fairytale fix-up?
The movie's fun, with some cool action scenes and a strong princess character. Millie Bobby Brown does a great job as Elodie. But the story itself feels a bit predictable, and some of the jokes miss the mark. Plus, the other actors, even though they're super famous, don't get much to do.
So, should you watch Damsel?
If you're looking for a movie with a girl who fights back and doesn't need saving, then Damsel is totally worth a watch. Plus, there's a cool dragon! Just don't expect the most mind-blowing plot ever. It's more like a popcorn flick with a girl-power twist. So, grab some snacks, settle in, and cheer on Princess Elodie as she punches her way out of a dragon's dilemma.
